Samuel considering move

WALTER SAMUEL has sensationally revealed he is considering his future at Roma, admitting he has felt let down by the club this season.

Argentine international Samuel has been one of the key figures for Roma in recent years, since his arrival at the club from Boca Juniors made him the most expensive defender in the world at the time.

Samuel has never been one to court the press in his time in Italy, but has decided to speak out and admit he is thinking about leaving the Giallorossi.

"I'm not sure I will stay here," said Samuel.

"I have a contract but this doesn't depend just on me.

"Many promises have been broken, but these are personal matters that I will not discuss."

One club that has been strongly linked to the powerful centre back is Real Madrid, but Samuel thinks that they are not in the market for a defender.

"Surely they [Real] do not need a defender," adds Samuel, who is still hoping for silverware in the shape of the Coppa Italia.

"It is still a trophy. I've never won it although many of my team-mates have.

"It is an added incentive for us."
