Villarreal have agreed a deal to sign Russia forward Denis Cheryshev on a one-year loan from Real Madrid, pending a medical.
The 23-year-old left winger, who just failed to make Fabio Capello's squad for the World Cup after being one of two players cut from a group of 25 earlier this month, has been at Madrid for over a decade but has rarely featured for the first team and spent last season on loan at Sevilla.
"While still needing a medical and the signing of his contract, Villarreal and Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle for the loan of the forward Denis Cheryshev to wear yellow in the 2014/15 season. The date of the player's presentation will be confirmed in the coming days."
