The agent of AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has sought to distance his client from rumours sparked by Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

Barca and PSG have not made a move for Milan defender

The agent of AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has sought to distance his client from rumours sparked by Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini. Mancini recently met with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, fuelling speculation that he was keen on Brazil international Silva. He quickly played down the reports, claiming Barcelona and Paris St Germain were the favourites to secure the Samba star's signature were he to move on. Silva's representative claims to have had no contact with either club and has reiterated that the 27-year-old's preference is to remain in Italy this summer.

No offers

"I am the agent of Thiago Silva, not Mancini," Paulo Tonietto told calciomercato.com. "Thiago has a contract with AC Milan. PSG and Barcelona are two great clubs and we would be honoured by their interest, but they have not spoken to me and AC Milan haven't told me anything. "It would appear that there is nothing there. There are no offers. "The player's position has been clear for some time - he wants to stay in Milan. If Milan want to sell him, that is a different matter."
