Barcelona have agreed to loan young Brazilian striker Keirrison to Santos for next season.

Young striker returns to his native Brazil on loan deal

La Liga champions Barcelona have agreed to loan young Brazilian striker Keirrison to Santos for next season. The 21-year-old, who joined the Spanish giants from Palmeiras for 14million euros (£11.7million) last summer, has been deemed surplus to requirements ahead of the new season at Camp Nou. Barca head coach Pep Guardiola was keen to offload Keirrison despite the striker signing a five-year deal last summer. Keirrison was loaned out to Benfica at the start of last season, where he made just five appearances. The youngster then moved on to Serie A where he joined Fiorentina during the winter transfer window, making 10 appearances and scoring twice during his stay. Despite Barca offering La Viola the opportunity to purchase the player after his loan spell, they have now decided against selling the Dourados-born star and he returns to his native Brazil.
