Winger agrees to stay at Sevilla until 2014

Sevilla winger Diego Capel has agreed a new long-term contract with the club. The 22-year-old, who scored the opening goal in Sevilla's 2-0 Copa del Rey victory over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, will now stay at the club until 2014. Contract talks had stalled before Christmas, with the player believed to have been holding out for a long-term agreement. But the club have now confirmed a new deal with the winger, which will have a buy-out clause of 30million euros. As well as the Copa del Rey win, the player, who has previously been linked to Spurs and Manchester City, also helped the club finish fourth in La Liga this season, so earning a place in the UEFA Champions League next term.
