Geijo and Sepsi arrive at El Sardinero

Racing Santander have stepped up their preparations for the new season by adding two fresh faces to their squad. Alex Geijo and Laszlo Sepsi have been brought in to add depth to Juan Carlos Mandia's side. Strike ace Geijo arrives from Levante, with Racing having beaten a host of rivals to land his signature. The 26-year-old began his career in Switzerland with Neuchatel Xamax, before securing a switch to Malaga in 2001. Four years later he was off to Xerez, where he spent two seasons prior to making a move to Levante.

Impact

Sepsi, meanwhile, has penned a one-year loan deal with Racing from Portuguese outfit Benfica. The agreement does include an option for the move to be made permanent in the future. The Romanian international has already expressed a desire to make a full-time switch to Spain, having struggled to make an impact during his 18 months at Estadio da Luz. Racing have also confirmed that Ivan Bolado is set to miss the entire 2009/10 campaign through injury. The 20-year-old frontman, who spent last season on loan at Elche, has suffered cruciate ligament damage to his left knee and is expected to be sidelined for between six to eight months.
