Villarreal keeper Diego Lopez has praised his team-mates after they claimed a 0-0 draw against Man United.

Keeper pleased with draw against Champions League holders

Diego Lopez believes Villarreal's draw at Old Trafford sets the club in good stead for their quest to progress to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League. The Primera Liga side came away from their Group E opener at Manchester United on Wednesday evening with a 0-0 stalemate. Villarreal also face SPL champions Celtic and Danish outfit Aalborg in Group E, and goalkeeper Lopez feels the result against the Champions League holders could prove decisive. He said: "A match in Old Trafford always is very hard. For me it was an enormous match that ended with a fair scoreline. "The key was our defence and midfield. It was hard for the English side to break us down. "This point is worth gold because the group is very difficult. Now we must win our matches at home to get to the next round. I am optimistic."
