Real Betis have suffered a blow after discovering that Mark Gonzalez will be out of action for one month.
Gonzalez, who joined Betis from Liverpool last summer, damaged his thigh in last Sunday's 3-0 triumph over Real Zaragoza.
The injury is the latest of a number of setbacks that have impeded the pacey winger's first season at Manuel Ruiz de Lopera.
Club doctor Tomas Calero said: "This rupture is a delicate issue because it is next to the tendon and it is necessary for us to be very cautious."
Gonzalez struggled during his time at Liverpool and was loaned to Real Sociedad before making a permanent move to Betis.
