Full-back out of Roma game with calf injury
Brazilian full-back Marcelo has joined Real Madrid's injury list for the UEFA Champions League tie with Roma.
Marcelo suffered a calf injury in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Real Betis and will miss Tuesday's first leg at Stadio Olimpico.
The youngster's absence will be a blow to Bernd Schuster's side as he had played every minute for Real in the group phase.
His place in the Real line-up is likely to be taken by Gabriel Heinze after the former Manchester United left-back recovered from injury.
However, the Spanish champions will still tackle Roma without Wesley Sneijder, Javier Saviola, Pepe, Christoph Metzelder and Robinho.
Raul is also aiming to shake off a knock to his leg suffered against Betis and he will receive intensive treatment ahead of the trip to Rome.
