Real Zaragoza could be without midfielder Pablo Aimar for the next three months.
The Primera Liga side confirmed on their website that the Argentina international is to undergo an operation on a pelvic injury.
Zaragoza have not revealed how long the influential Aimar will be out of action, but reports in the Spanish media suggest it could be up to three months.
Victor Fernandez's side are currently 10th in La Liga and were beaten 2-0 by league leaders Real Madrid on Sunday.
