Nantes have satisfied their quest to bring in a new striker by signing Mali international Mamadou Diallo.The 22-year-old had been a leading candidate to join Les Canaris in the New Year and the French club have struck a deal with his side USM Alger.
They will receive a fee of é¼700,000 for Diallo, who enjoyed a prolific 2004 with USM Alger, scoring 28 goals.
Diallo has signed a six-month contract with the Ligue 1 side and has the option of a further three years in the summer.
He is due to link up for training with his new team-mates on December 29 and could make his debut in the first game after the winter break against Bastia on January 12.
