Landreau set for surgery

By Patrick Haond
Nantes will be without Mickael Landreau for the next month after being told he will need surgery on his left knee.

The 24-year-old shot-stopper, who had been expected to depart Les Canaris this summer, will undergo the operation on Monday.

Landreau will require four weeks on the sidelines in order to recover, but could be back for the clash against PSG on November 8.

He had been an ever-present for Nantes this term, however back-up Willy Grondin will now assume the club's number one jersey.

Meanwhile, Romanian forward Viorel Moldovan made his first appearance since his return to the club after appearing in a friendly.

The former Coventry man played and scored against Ivory Coast, however a Dagui Bakari brace sent Nantes to a 2-1 defeat.
