Brazilian eyes Inter exit
Maxwell's agent has admitted that the Brazilian looks set to leave Inter Milan and city rivals AC Milan could be his next destination.
The left-sided star has just a year on his contract left with the Nerazzurri and he is not a regular first choice under Jose Mourinho.
The recent emergence of youngster Davide Santon has also seen Maxwell's position at the club become less prominent.
Now his agent has confirmed that he is looking at leaving the club.
"I think that Maxwell's Inter adventure is over," agent Mino Raiola told
Sky Sport Italia - confirming that he would likely look to move abroad.
"He is the best left-back in Europe and there are always offers - we haven't been short of those even this year.
"The relationship with the club is honest and for now I don't see Maxwell being there next year.
"I wouldn't discount Milan as a possible destination. He still has another year on his contract, but if both clubs agreed then why not?
"However, I do think it would be easier for Maxwell to go abroad to find another employer."
Milan interest
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti was quick to confirm his club's interest in taking Maxwell.
"Maxwell is a player that Milan likes a lot. I think we will talk about it in a while," he told
Sky Italia.
"He is one of the best wing players around."
