Auxerre have suffered a blow with the news that young defender Younes Kaboul faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.The 18-year-old picked an ankle problem in last weekend's defeat to Strasbourg.
Scans have shown a fracture and Kaboul is expected to be out for two months with the problem.
Auxerre boss Guy Roux admitted the highly-rated defender had made a mistake by playing on while injured.
"He is young and made the blunder of playing while he was already injured," said Roux.
Kaboul will miss Auxerre's last two Uefa Cup group games and is not expected to be available for action until mid-January.
