South Korea forward wants new challenge following relegation

Park Chu-young will be on the lookout for a new team this summer following Monaco's relegation from Ligue 1. The South Korea international has no intention of playing in the French lower leagues and has put potential suitors on alert. "There is no more reason to remain in Monaco. We will pursue a trade," Park's agent was quoted as saying on The Chosunilbo. Bolton Wanderers are among a host of clubs reportedly interested in the 25-year-old and the availability of the player for a cut-price fee could prove too tempting to resist. The Premier League club could face stiff competition if they step up their pursuit from Marseille, where the chance to play UEFA Champions League football could decide Park's future. "I would like to have new challenge in a stronger team capable of competing in bigger Europe-wide tournaments like the Champions League," he said earlier in the week.
