Recreativo have signed Spanish midfielder Gerard Lopez on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old was released by Monaco by mutual agreement in August after failing to make a real impact during his time in France.
The former Barcelona man only made 13 appearances for the club over two seasons as he was hampered by a series of injuries.
Gerard has made six appearances for Spain and had stints at Barcelona and Valencia, as well as a loan spell at Alaves.
Recre will be hoping that Gerard can help them build on their impressive first season back in La Primera last term.
