With Patrice Evra set to leave in the summer Monaco are stepping up their chase for a new full back.

The impressive stopper has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs, including Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid, after enjoying another outstanding season.

The French international has previously stated that the Principality outfit will not stand in his way if he desires a move, and boss Didier Deschamps is now tracking Boavista youngster Nelson as a potential replacement.

The Cape Verde born left back has impressed for the Portuguese outfit, and Deschamps is thought to be eyeing a summer move for the 21-year-old.

ASM will be looking to freshen up their squad after a disappointing campaign in which they currently lie a full 12 points behind leaders Lyon.
