Promising forward completes New Year switch

Togolese forward Abdoulrazak Boukari has completed his move to Rennes from Ligue 1 rivals Lens. The 23-year-old has penned a four-and-a-half-year contract, which will see him through to the summer of 2015. Boukari had been attracting plenty of interest away from France, with Premier League giants Arsenal reported to be monitoring his situation at one stage. He has, however, opted to remain in the country where he has spent his entire career to date and insists he is looking forward to the challenge which lies ahead at Rennes.

Skills

"I am very happy to have signed for Rennes," said former France U21 international Boukari. "I made my mind up a long time ago to come here. "A lot of good players have played here in the past and I really hope I am going to grow here. "This year the team is still strong and plays good football. I can bring my skills and quickly adapt to their system."
