Swiss ace worried about place in side

Manchester City midfielder Gelson Fernandes has conceded he may be forced to consider his future at the club if he is not playing regularly. The Swiss international, who has bought by Sven Goran Eriksson, accepts he could find it difficult to stay at Eastlands if the cash-rich club bring in a host of new signings. Fernandes has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the City side under Mark Hughes and the 22-year-old admits he finds it difficult to hear the club being linked with so many players as it will only increase competition for places. "I will turn 22 in September," Fernandes told Le Matin. "If I realise I don't have chances to play regularly, then I will take another direction. "When I signed two years ago, I didn't expect such frenzy. Today I am part of the world's richest club. "It is a nice experience, but it is tough to deal with."
