Louis Saha's impressive start to his Tottenham career has earned the forward a recall to the France national team.

French boss Blanc also calls-up Amalfitano to face Germany

Louis Saha's impressive start to his Tottenham career has earned the forward a recall to the France national team. The 33-year-old striker has been named in Laurent Blanc's squad for the friendly against Germany on Wednesday. Saha, who has played just once for France since 2006, has scored just four goals so far this season But the Spurs man did bag a brace in the 5-0 thrashing of former club Newcastle earlier this month. Saha will be joined in the France squad by Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano, who wins a first international call-up. The 26-year old, a summer signing from Lorient, has starred in Marseille's recent resurgence and featured in Wednesday's victory at home to Inter in the UEFA Champions League. And Blanc is confident that Amalfitano can make an impact at the highest level. "Personally I know him well," said Blanc. "Technically he's very strong. He often makes the right choice on how to play the ball and I think that he has an interesting quality in midfield for this match."
