Sissoko stokes final flames

Valencia starlet Mohamed Lamine Sissoko has fanned the flames ahead of this week's Uefa Cup final by claiming he is 'anti-Marseille' due to his Parisien roots.

The teenager, who has made a big impact since his summer move from Auxerre, insists Wednesday's clash with Jose Anigo's men in Gothenburg holds extra spice for him.

"At Valencia I have team-mates who are anti-Madrid. I am anti-Marseille," Sissoko stated.

"I would like to play at the Ullevi (Stadium) because it is a French rivalry for me.

"I am from Paris and I want to beat Olympique."

The Mali international went on to pinpoint Didier Drogba as the man Valencia had to fear ahead of the final showdown, but added that the Che should not be considered favourites given the French outfit's form in the competition.

"If they are in the final then it is because they have good team," the midfielder continued.

"They are not doing so well in the league, but in the Uefa Cup they have achieved some very good results against Liverpool, Newcastle and Inter.

"We are not favourites although everyone is saying that."
