Midfielder pens three-year contract

Bordeaux have snapped up former France youth international Nicolas Maurice-Belay. The 26-year-old, who was capped at U17, U18 and U20 levels, becomes their first signing of the summer. He has penned a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 outfit. He was available after allowing his contract at Sochaux to run down, bringing to an end a four-year association with the club. Maurice-Belay is an attacking midfielder who operates down the left-hand side. He is known more for his creativity than is goal scoring, with the target found just four times in 133 appearances for Sochaux. Bordeaux have brought him on board to help cover the loss of Brazilian playmaker Fernando.
