West Ham's Julien Faubert admits the reality of his move to Real Madrid has yet to set in.

West Ham winger thought Spanish club's interest was a 'joke'

New Real Madrid winger Julien Faubert admits the reality of his move to the Bernabeu has yet to set in. The West Ham player has moved to Spain on loan as a solution to manager Juande Ramos' search for a wide player, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season. Faubert will be officially unveiled as a Real player on Monday and the 25-year-old confesses he initially thought news of the Primera Liga club's interest was a 'joke'. "I thought it was all a joke at first to be honest," Faubert told Real's official website. "It was only afterwards that I realised it was all true and that Real Madrid were interested. I am very happy.

Dream

"Everything that has taken place still hasn't set in. I think that when I start training will be when I'll realise it's all real. "I am very happy because this is a dream come true," he added. "Real Madrid are the best team in the world. I couldn't be happier. "I want to play and perform my best in every match. I want to play as many matches possible and prove that I belong here. "My goal is to win a title, it's for that reason I've come to Real Madrid. "The best players have all wound up here and won many titles. It's the best team in the world."
