Dalmat set for switch

Bordeaux midfielder Stephane Dalmat is poised for a summer move away.

Bordeaux midfielder Stephane Dalmat is poised for a summer move away from the Stade Chaban-Delmas.

Dalmat, who is famous in the French league for switching clubs every year since his debut, looks set to be on the move once again after failing to earn coach Ricardo's confidence.

The 28-year-old joined Les Girondins in the close season from Racing Santander but has not managed to hold down a regular first team place.

He is not a member of the 20-man squad travelling to Paris for the Coupe de la Ligue final on Saturday and has now resigned himself to a transfer from the club at the end of the current campaign.

"When you move to a club, it is to play, so I must be disappointed," Dalmat told But.

"I think I will pack my bags again. I don't think that my future is here because I haven't played this season. I don't think I will have anything else offered.

"I could move to another French club, but I don't want to do the 'Tour de France'. I would prefer to stay in France because I have moved a lot, but if I don't receive an interesting opportunity, I will move abroad.

"Personally, I have no friends in this team, I just do my job. People can have affinities with two or three players and see them after the matches or training sessions, but that is not the case for me."
