Bordeaux striker Lilian Laslandes is a major doubt for the UEFA Champions League tie with Liverpool.
The 25-year-old picked up a thigh injury during training at Anfield on Monday which looks likely to keep him out of the Group C clash.
Laslandes has previously struggled with a similar problem and coach Ricardo will not take any risks with the Frenchman's fitness.
"He won't play if he is at 90 percent," Ricardo said.
Laslandes' absence will mean a return to the starting line up for Marouane Chamakh and Ricardo expects the Moroccan to add a different dimension to Les Girondins' play.
"Without Laslandes we will lose the fluidity, however we will have more power in our game with Chamakh in the starting line-up," Ricardo continued.
Top-scorer Jean-Claude Darcheville is also a doubt due to tiredness but Ricardo expects him to recover in time to feature.
"He should be able to play," he confirmed. "But we will take stock on Tuesday before making a definite decision."
