Ligue 1 round-up

Lens tightened their grip on second spot, while Marseille beat Monaco 2-1.

Lens tightened their grip on second spot in Ligue 1 with a 1-0 victory over Toulouse.

The game looked to be drifting to a goalless draw, until Issam Jomaa popped up in the final minute to secure all three points for Lens.

Sochaux moved up to third after a 0-0 draw with Valenciennes, while the game between Nice and Nancy also finished goalless.

There was no shortage of action at the Stade de l`Aube, where Auxerre came from behind to draw 3-3 with Troyes.

Yann Lachuer fired the home side ahead after 18 minutes and David Gigliotti made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time.

Ireneusz Jelen then pulled one back for Auxerre (53), only for Gigliotti to restore Troyes' two-goal cushion.

The drama was not over though, as Jelen scored again six minutes from the end and Kanga Akale equalised in injury time.

Marseille beat Monaco 2-1 to climb up to fifth. Mickael Pagis (pictured) opened the scoring for Marseille after 38 minutes and then Mamadou Niang secured the victory (77) after Marco Di Vaio (58) had levelled for Monaco.

Bottom club Sedan suffered more misery as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Lorient, Andre-Pierre Gignac (24) and Rafik Saifi (29) doing the damage.

Rennes claimed three points from their trip to Bordeaux, with Sylvain Marveaux (11) and John Utaka (61) helping them to a 2-1 victory. Jean-Claude Darcheville (71) raised hopes of a late comeback but Bordeaux could not force an equaliser.

Nantes managed to hold Le Mans to a 0-0 draw but it was not enough to lift them out of the relegation zone.
