Ludovic Giuly has rejected three French clubs in order to stay at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona's France winger Ludovic Giuly has revealed that he rejected a number of offers to return to his native land during the January transfer window, in order to remain with the Catalan giants.
The former Monaco star has been in impressive form recently and netted Barca's opening goal in the 3-0 victory over Mallorca on Sunday evening, prompting the pocket-size midfielder to fight for his place at Camp Nou.
Reports eminating from France had suggested that Lyon, Marseille and Bordeaux were all considering making an offer for the player's services, after the nippy winger's place in the side was no longer secure with the emergence of young Argentine talent Lionel Messi.
However, Giuly has moved to quash such rumours and remains adamant that he will see out the remainder of his contract with the Spanish champions.
"Although I have had offers from some French clubs, I do not want to leave," he said.
"I feel great and I am only thinking about playing for Barca.
"I still have a year left on my contract and am playing for the best club in the world.
"Frank Rijkaard is happy with me and he told me that he did not want me to leave and join someone else."
The France regular also denied a possible rivalry with team-mate Messi, insisting that the young winger is a talented player and does not detract him from his goals.
"I have to admit that it is more difficult for me now, as before I was playing all the time and now I am not, but I am training very hard to be able to play and to help the team win trophies," Giuly added.
"I have no problem with Messi. I am here to play and there are many great players in this squad.
"Messi is a great player and is playing very well at the moment.
"He is a quality player and is only 18. I think that he is stronger than Robinho."
Giuly has made 16 starts for Barcelona this season, scoring five goals.
