Lille striker Tulio De Melo has signed a six-month contract with Ligue 1 rivals Evian.
The 28-year-old had struggled for game time with the northern outfit and is hoping to make the right impression with Evian, who are 17th in the table.
De Melo, who was part of the title-winning squad of 2011, told his new club's official website: "I'd like to thank the LOSC president (Michel Seydoux) for the years I spent with Lille.
"I would also like to thank my new coach, Pascal Dupraz, for his faith in me. His philosophy was a fundamental part of why I decided to come here.
"Physically I feel great, even though I'm lacking rhythm. Fighting for Ligue 1 survival doesn't scare me. It's a real challenge and I'll give my all to help pull it off. I'm ready to sweat blood, if necessary."
The Brazilian-born forward could make his debut in this weekend's home match against bottom club Ajaccio.
