David Beckham may have to wait to make his Paris St Germain debut, as boss Carlo Ancelotti does not feel he is ready for action just yet.
The former England captain's high-profile move to the French capital was completed on transfer deadline day, and made the headlines as he announced he will donate all his wages to charity.
Despite critics calling the move a publicity stunt, Beckham is keen to focus on his football, and completed his first training session with his new team-mates on Wednesday.
Ancelotti was happy to see him join up with the squad, but reiterated he is not quite ready to make his first-team debut.
"He needs two weeks of preparation," Ancelotti said.
"He could be ready for the match against Sochaux (17th of February), or may be the next match."
The clash with Marseille seems the most likely, where the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star could come up against Joey Barton.
