Moroccan begins second spell with Ligue 1 club
Morocco international Youssouf Hadji has rejoined Rennes from fellow Ligue 1 outfit Nancy for €1.7million.
The 31-year-old, who began his career at Nancy in 1998, played for Les Rouges et Noirs between 2005 and 2007.
He then made more than 100 appearances in a four-year second spell with Nancy, scoring 38 goals.
However, the forward is delighted to have sealed a return to another one of his old sides, citing their presence in Europe as one of the main attractions to making the move.
"I know the place well and a lot of people at this club," said Hadji.
"That will help my integration. I'm very happy to come back here. The club qualifies for the Europa League on a regular basis and is ambitious every year."
