Coach claims youngster is happy to remain with Ligue 1 champions

Highly-rated midfielder Eden Hazard is happy at Lille and could stay with the French champions next season, according to coach Rudi Garcia. The 20-year-old, who became the youngest player to be named Ligue 1 Player of the Year last season after scoring 12 goals in 52 appearances, has been linked with some of Europe's top clubs. Hazard, a youth product at Lille, has reportedly found himself the subject of interest from Chelsea, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain. But while Garcia admits a move cannot be ruled out, the coach insists the Belgium international is content at the Stade Lille-Metropole and focused on the task in hand. "During his holiday, he was far away from all the hype," Garcia said in L'Equipe. "He is well and feeling good, and like the others, he wants to build on what we achieved last season. "He is happy with us and knows there are challenges for him here, such as Champions League football. "Beyond that, we cannot be categorical. If he leaves one day, it can be for a top European club, but it must be somewhere where he will play."
