Midfielder could be moved on by Roma

Roma midfielder Jeremy Menez could soon find himself on the way out of Stadio Olimpico. The Frenchman has suffered a falling-out with coach Claudio Ranieri and has been dropped from the starting XI as a result. Facing an uncertain future in the Italian capital, reports have suggested he may take the opportunity to take on a fresh challenge elsewhere. A return to his homeland has been touted, with Marseille said to be keen, but Menez's agent admits nothing has been decided just yet. "Menez to Marseille? That is not true at the moment, while Marseille are also set to sign (Inter Milan's) Mancini," Alain Migliaccio told romagiallorossa.com. "I don't know what the future will hold for Jeremy. I will talk with Roma next week.

Meeting

"The player wants to stay at Roma. He has started 15 games and that is not a problem. "On Wednesday there will be a meeting and we will see what comes out of it." Meanwhile, Ranieri has hinted that he may be willing to part with Menez and Brazilian forward Julio Baptista during the January transfer window. "The club has needs and we must meet them," he said. "If there are requests from other clubs for our players, we will evaluate them. "I want to have players here who believe in the project and will give their all for the collective cause."
