Striker departs for Middle East

St Etienne striker Pascal Feindouno has signed a deal with Qatar side Al Saad. The 27-year-old Guinea international has penned a contract with the Asian outfit, despite not having the permission of his club. Les Verts are happy for him to leave, but as yet they have not reached agreement with Al Saad, despite their declaration that they had concluded a deal. "Contrary to the statement made on the Al Saad website, no agreement has been found between St Etienne and Al Saad," said a statement from the French club. "Pascal Feindouno decided by himself to join Qatar on Monday, without agreement from St Etienne. "If no agreement is found between both clubs in the coming hours, St Etienne will ask for the player to rejoin the group." Speaking to skysports.com, Feindouno is convinced that moving to Qatar is the right move for him. "I am happy to be in Qatar, I have a fantastic financial offer, I love the country and it will let me concentrate on my new career," he told skysports.com.
