Striker hoping for good offer
Portuguese striker Pauleta is ready to retire if he fails to receive a tempting offer of a new challenge.
Pauleta is leaving Paris Saint Germain after not being offered a new contract and had been hoping for a move to Benfica.
However, Benfica have not made an offer for the 35-year-old, who admits he may now hang up his boots.
"I still hope to get a good offer, but I don't believe it will finally come," Pauleta told Portuguese radio station TSF.
"If it had been a matter of money, I would have stayed in France, but the last season at PSG really wore me out mentally.
"I would need a real challenge to go on in my career, but I don't have one."
