Wolfsburg are chasing Nancy's Senegal defender Pape Diakhate.
Senegal star Pape Diakhate appears to be close to a move to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.Felix Magath, the former Bayern Munich coach and new Wolves boss, has started a massive squad overhaul at the Volkswagen-Arena and is now looking to replace the half a dozen players which have left the club over the past weeks.
Finding a new centre-back remains a top-priority for the coach after Dutchman Kevin Hofland returned to his home country by joining Feyenoord and according to press reports in France and Germany, Magath has singled out Nancy defender Diakhate as the ideal candidate to link up with new-signing Ricardo Costa.
Nancy were initially keen to keep the tall defender and have placed a price-tag of ?7 million on his head.
