Kevin Gallen has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Luton following the club's relegation.

Harford also releases five after relegation

Kevin Gallen has signed a new one-year contract to stay at Luton Town following the club's relegation from the Football League. The veteran striker originally joined the Hatters on loan last November before extending his stay after being released by MK Dons. He has now agreed to spend another season at Kenilworth Road to provide Luton boss Mick Harford with a major boost after the club's drop into the non-league ranks. "When Kevin Gallen came to this football club he made a massive impression on me and the supporters," Harford told the club's official website. "He's a character in the dressing room and offers us that little bit of experience which he can help pass on to the younger players in the squad. "We've signed him on a one-year contract, but my view is that Kevin has got a long-term future at Luton Town and he will be given some coaching responsibilities next season." Meanwhile, Harford has released Dean Brill, Sol Davis, Paul McVeigh, Dean Morgan and Sam Parkin following the end of their contracts, while Drew Talbot has been made available for transfer.
