Bairns trial trio

Falkirk boss John Hughes has handed trials to three more players this summer.

Falkirk boss John Hughes has handed trials to three more players ahead of the new Scottish Premier League season.

Nigerian strikers Udo Nwoko and Anizoba Chizoba joined Dutch goalkeeper Jeroen Lambers for the club's pre-season tour of Holland.

Nwoko comes to The Bairns from Hibernians of Malta, having spent last season on loan with Maltese rivals Mosta.

Chizoba also comes to the SPL having played recently in Malta for St Patrick.

Lambers, meanwhile, is a former Groningen custodian who is aiming to make a move to The Falkirk Stadium.

The trio follow former Coventry City striker Craig Reid having a run-out with Hughes's side, with the new SPL season just over a week away from starting.
