Us No.1 keen to see out the remainder of his contract

Goalkeeper Ben Williams is determined to see out his contract with League One outfit Colchester, despite interest from rival teams. The former Manchester United and Crewe shot-stopper joined The Us from Carlisle last summer making 45 appearances for the club and claiming the player of the year award last term. The 27-year-old capped a fine debut season with the League One side becoming an instant favourite amongst the supporters by keeping 16 clean sheets, establishing himself as the club's first choice keeper. Williams' performances have alerted the attention of other rival clubs but he is adamant he will stay with Colchester until at least the end of his current contract, which expires in 2012. He told the Colchester Gazette: "I'm totally committed to being at Colchester."
