Attacker looking to add to Cyprus call-up

Hearts attacker Ryan Stevenson is hoping his international run with Scotland will continue after being called up against Cyprus. The 27-year-old, who joined Hearts from Ayr in January 2010, was an unused substitute earlier this month and is hoping to be considered for the upcoming World Cup qualifying campaign. Stevenson, who can play in midfield or as a forward, told Hearts TV: "I want to try and build on it and try and force my way in there. "As soon as you get a taste for it you don't want it to be a one off. "It was a special week for me. To get called up for my country in such a short space of time has been a great personal story for myself. I'll work extra hard to try to get back in." He added: "We're disappointed with the last three or four results. Over the last three or four weeks we've been playing well, but we just haven't really been getting the breaks. "It's tight in the league. We're only seven points ahead of them (Inverness). "(And) we can't really dismiss them as the bottom of the league and we're going to turn up and win. "Terry Butcher's a good manager, they've got a good squad of players. "We know what to expect but from our own point of view we need to make sure we get the three points and try to catch the teams above us."
