Keeper staying at Ibrox until 2013

Rangers goalkeeper Neil Alexander has signed a new contract with the club until 2013. The Scot, who has won three caps for his country, is currently back-up to first choice Allan McGregor at Ibrox, and has made 24 appearances for the club since joining form Ipswich in 2008. The 32-year-old accepts that he is firmly the deputy to fellow Scotland international McGregor, but was delighted to have agreed terms.

Happy

"I've always said that I'm happy at Rangers," he said. "As a young boy growing up you look at Rangers as one of the top clubs in the world, and I've always wanted to play for a club like that. "I've worked my whole career to get to a club like Rangers, so why would I be in a hurry to leave? "I'm just delighted to be involved in the tremendous successes at Rangers."
