Steven Davis, Charlie Mulgrew, Dean Shiels and Jon Daly have all been nominated for the Scottish PFA Player of the Year award.
Scottish PFA award nominations announced
Rangers captain Steven Davis, Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew, Kilmarnock forward Dean Shiels and Dundee United's Jon Daly have all been nominated for the Scottish PFA Player of the Year award.
Davis is a previous winner of the award, having lifted the title in 2010, and his nomination is a bright spot in an otherwise bleak season for the stricken Ibrox club.
Celtic defender Mulgrew has played his part in the Hoops' title triumph, playing in several positions and contributing seven goals.
Shiels has hit 11 goals in his first season at Kilmarnock after signing initially on loan from Doncaster Rovers last summer before sealing a permanent move in January.
Daly meanwhile is in the running for the golden boot after bagging 21 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Celtic winger James Forrest, St Mirren midfielder Kenny McLean and Dundee United pair Gary Mackay-Steven and Johnny Russell are all nominated in the Young Player of the Year category.
Last season
Celtic midfielder Emilio Izaguirre and forward David Goodwillie, who moved from Dundee United to Blackburn last summer, won the respective awards last season.
The winners will be announced and presented with their awards at the Hilton hotel in Glasgow on May 6.
Speaking of his nomination Davis, who could miss the rest of the season with a groin injury, said: "It is an honour and a privilege to be nominated again for the player of the year award and I would like to thank PFA Scotland and my fellow professionals for their votes."
"I am very proud to be captain of Rangers Football Club and I share this nomination with my team-mates and the supporters who have backed the team in huge numbers during these difficult times."
PFA Scotland chief executive Fraser Wishart added: "This is the top award for players. There is no greater honour in football than to be voted the best player in your country by your fellow professionals."
