Terry Butcher's Motherwell picked up a fine 3-1 win against Aberdeen.

Aberdeen missed out on the chance to go third in the Scottish Premier League, with Terry Butcher's Motherwell picking up a fine 3-1 win at Pittodrie.

Well took the lead through a Kevin McBride penalty and added a second courtesy of Jim Hamilton.

Markus Heikkinen gave The Dons hope, but Scott McDonald ensured Motherwell took the points.

Dundee came from behind to defeat Dunfermline Athletic.

Darren Young had given the visitors the lead, but Dundee levelled through a Steve Lovell penalty and Brent Sancho's winner ensured the Dens Park crowd went home happy.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle picked up a 1-0 win at Kilmarnock - courtesy of Barry Wilson's 32nd minute strike.

In the Scottish First Division, Falkirk sealed their promotion and the championship, as The Bairns will be in the SPL next season.
