Scottish midfielder expects Miller to join him in Vancouver

Barry Robson believes he has made the right decision in heading for the MLS and is backing Scotland team-mate Kenny Miller to join him. Robson agreed a deal with the Vancouver Whitecaps in February, but his contract did not start until July. He is now enjoying the experience of a different football culture in a league which has seen its profile rise considerably in recent years. Robson has no doubts that leaving Britain was the best choice for him at this stage of his career and is confident Miller can be persuaded to follow his lead and take in a Canadian adventure. He told The Sun: "It's a good quality league. Everybody is fit and all the stadiums I've played in have been packed.

Standard

"It's warm, the pitches are all great and it's been a good start for me. "I have no regrets about making the move. It was a big decision but I'm playing at a great standard. "There are top players over here. There are the likes of David Beckham and Robbie Keane, but you also have some top Mexicans and South Americans. "I've signed up for a few years and Kenny will do the same. We'll enjoy it and hopefully win something. "It was the right time to move out here. I had a few years in the Championship and SPL, which is in chaos just now. "It's strange to see the league in a shambolic state like that. Hopefully it's sorted soon."
International
Robson has also played down any suggestion that moving to the MLS may have an adverse effect on his and Miller's international ambitions. "Kenny is Scotland's main striker and I don't see that changing any time soon," he said. "Kenny has a massive part to play for Scotland and him moving to Canada will not make a difference. "I know Kenny feels that way and I'm sure nobody in the international set-up wants to lose him. "He'll keep going. I'll keep going and hopefully we can help the national team reach the World Cup."
