Ally McCoist insists the Rangers players are still united despite the club entering administration last week.
The squad are facing the prospect of only receiving a fraction of their wage as the club administrators try to sort out the club's finances, whilst the biggest earners could all be offloaded in the summer.
But the Gers boss says after meeting with the squad and captain Steven Davis that they are still a cohesive group.
"From the meetings I've had with the players and with Steve Davis I can tell you the players are united," McCoist told the
Daily Record.
"We all want to find a solution in the best interests of the club, I will speak again with the administrators and update the players."

Meanwhile defender Dorin Goian has expressed his surprise and delight at the support the fans gave the club at the weekend.
Despite Rangers' off-field problems, Ibrox was sold out for the 1-0 defeat by Kilmarnock on Saturday.
The Romania international said: "You could not imagine the feeling I got when I walked out onto the pitch on Saturday.
"It was like we were playing Celtic at home.
"It was a great atmosphere and showed great solidarity from everyone. I don't think Rangers will ever go bankrupt with fans like these.
"We are more than just a football club, Rangers are a state of mind.
"The administrators who have come into the club must now make some decisions.
"They will decide how best to manage the financial side of things and see if they can make the club profitable.
"But I'm not worried about the future."
