Ross County boss Derek Adams said his side's 1-0 win over Aberdeen was well-deserved.

County climbed to third in the SPL following the Pittodrie clash, with substitute Gary Glen scoring the only goal with nine minutes remaining.

Adams said: "It was difficult tonight. It's not the greatest pitch in the world, but we dealt with that well and had a lot of control of the game.

"We've got talented players to do that, with [Rocco] Quinn, [Richie] Brittain and [Paul] Lawson in the middle, so we always know we can control large spells of games."

Adams admitted the game was not as entertaining as some fans might have expected.

"There weren't a great deal of chances in the match," he added.

"We probably had more shots on goal than Aberdeen. Craig Brown said it was deserved, so I'll go with his assessment of the game!"
