Deal already agreed with the Tunisian, claims Hoops boss

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has revealed that they have agreed terms with Tunisian forward Lassad Nouioui. The 26-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Deportivo La Coruna and recent reports suggested that he would remain in Spain and join Levante. However, Lennon says that Nouioui will arrive in Glasgow on Saturday night to complete his move to Celtic. "I know there is talk of him going to Levante but I have had clarification from his advisors that he will be in Glasgow this evening," he said.

Agreed terms

"We have agreed terms and the paperwork is done so we just need him in to do his medical. "He will do a couple of days' fitness work because he obviously hasn't had a club since the end of the season and we just need to gauge his physical condition and take it from there." Lennon then explained why he is so keen to add Nouioui to his team. "He is six foot two, he leads the line very well, he can play inside or outside the box and he can head it very well," he explained. "We have liked him for a wee while. I know most of his goals have come in the Second Division in Spain but it is still a good standard and he has played for Deportivo in the last couple of seasons. "He will bring another dimension to the team."
