Swans hope to finalise deal for midfielder in next 24 hours
Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng is due to have a medical at Swansea on Friday ahead of a proposed move to the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea have already agreed a fee in the region of £6million for the South Korea international and they hope to tie up a deal for the player in the next 24 hours.
Ki has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs after impressing for club and country over the last couple of years, but Swansea are in pole position to land the playmaker.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has been looking to bring in a new midfielder after seeing Joe Allen leave for Liverpool earlier this summer.
Ki would become Laudrup's seventh summer acquisition following the transfers of Spanish duo Michu and Chico as well as Arsenal defender Kyle Bartley and Preston North End striker Jamie Proctor.
Villarreal's Jonathan de Guzman and Itay Shechter from Kaiserslautern have also been brought in on loan deals.
