Hibernian club captain Ian Murray has been released after a decade of service during two spells at Easter Road.
Murray featured only four times since manager Pat Fenlon took charge in November after being troubled by a hip injury and he was not involved in Saturday's Scottish Cup final defeat by Hearts.
The 31-year-old, who made more than 300 appearances for Hibs either side of spells with Rangers and Norwich, had been expecting the news.
He told the club's
official website: "I want to thank everyone for their support, especially this season with my testimonial. I've obviously loved my time at Hibernian.

"To be fair to the gaffer, things have moved on and changed since he's come in so there's no real surprise for me.
"I'm looking forward to my next challenge and wish all the Hibernian supporters all the best for next season."
Fenlon added: "I'd like to thank 'Nid' for his dedication to the club.
"He's been a great pro for Hibernian. It's been unfortunate he hasn't played a lot since I've been here due to injury, but it's been great for me and the coaching team to have him around the place."
Hibs also announced young players Scott Taggart and Sean Welsh would be leaving Easter Road.
Loan players George Francomb, Matt Doherty, Roy O'Donovan, Tom Soares, Richie Towell, Leigh Griffiths and James McPake have also left with the club saying Fenlon would "continue to discuss player availability for next season with the loan players' clubs once they return from holiday".
Goalkeepers Graham Stack and Mark Brown and striker Garry O'Connor are also out of contract.
