Gallacher and Travner turn down St Mirren deals

Paul Gallacher and Jure Travner have turned down contract offers to stay at St Mirren. The Buddies have also confirmed they are still waiting on a response from top goalscorer Michael Higdon over a new deal. Goalkeeper Gallacher, 31, has made 78 appearances since signing for Saints two years ago, while 25-year-old left-back Travner has impressed in his first season for the club after joining from Watford, initially on loan. St Mirren have already secured Jim Goodwin, Hugh Murray, David Barron, Craig Samson and Aaron Mooy on new contracts since the end of the season, and the club confirmed on Thursday that Lee Mair had a year to serve on his present deal.
