Scot open to offers this summer after leaving Hibs

Derek Riordan admits it is a strange feeling to be out of contract for the first time in his career. The 28-year-old is out of contract at Hibernian and his free transfer status makes the forward an attractive proposition for several clubs. A number of sides in England are believed to be monitoring Riordan's situation this summer, while MLS outfit Houston Dynamo have expressed an interest in the player, but the forward has rejected their overtures. Riordan, who returned to Hibs in 2008 after a two-year spell at Celtic, is now keeping his options open as he decides where his future lies.

Out of contract

"Today is the first time I have been out of contract in my career and it is a strange feeling," Riordan told skysports.com. "Basically it is the first time I have been without a club so I will see what comes up. "I have had one concrete offer from Houston, which I have rejected. "I am on holiday at the moment and I am leaving it to my agent to deal with everything. "I am keeping my options open and I am ready to consider all offers that come my way."
